+1 for crm
+10 bazillion for API/module documentation/guides/tutorials other than the API endpoints. Got so many ideas for plugins, not sure where to start. Would plugins and third-party modules be a Pancake thing or more of a CodeIgniter thing?

Agreed, the API is getting much, much better both in terms of docs and functionality.
Have you seen this API Endpoints ? It’s not pretty but it’s a start.

Yep, I’ve been all over that and had some fun with it, but now I want to go further and create plugins (to use within Pancake, as opposed to external stuff that interacts with it).

I still waiting for these functions:
- Edit & Delete User
- Edit Milestone
- Edit Task

:D

I love milestones, especially with the color picker. But I would like to see this feature (color picker) on tasks as well. To indicate the priority levels in various tasks. And assign users to a task instead of only a milestone.

Also the ability to edit a milestone, to set it to finished, due date, color, etc.

Archiving

Now that I’ve been using Pancake for a while, I’ve inevitably got some old invoices that were never paid.  I don’t want to delete these invoices because I’d then have no record of them, but at the same time they are distorting the Outstanding total because they never will be paid and I feel it should only show ‘live’ invoices.

Therefore, I would like to have an Archive option that can be set by using the Gear icon which then moves the invoice out of the Outstanding (Sent but unpaid) category and into a new Archived category, with the option of moving it back if needed (unarchive) should a client eventually decide they do want to pay the invoice.  The Outstanding total in the red box shouldn’t count things in the Archived category.  Also, if the original recurring invoice is archived, it should be set to no longer recur.

This should improve visibility and make it easier to see which invoices are still to be paid, rather than having to sift through lots of ‘dead’ invoices that are months or even years old.

I think this is a great idea, but I would suggest one modification.  “Archiving” can mean different things to different people, and I’m not sure everyone will think of it the way that you are.  I’m wondering if maybe using the term “VOID” instead might make for less possible confusion?  I think VOID is a standard term for things like Voiding a check that will not be cashed, and so that seems like a very appropriate term for what you are talking about.  And as you said you could always un-void the invoice if the client decides to pay.

+1 for plugin system, so manipulating internals would be easier & future pancake upgrades would not remove our customizations.

Somewhere to put in a bank account number for the Bank Transfer information and specify the terms of payment.

+1 for adding multiple contacts to a client - maybe make a default e-mail field for invoices on each client.

Automatic Due on created invoices.. Add due plans, with terms and conditions in one fane, and choose it from a list on the due mark for invoices.

+1 on the automatic track outstanding invoces! Resend e-mail on X days notice of a normal invoice’s due day.
* also, add i.e a new line in it with XX USD/AUS/NOK as a late-fee!
Now, i havent tested the e-mails yet. do the PDF’s come as an attachement or is the user forced to go online to check it out?
If so, Automatic PDF attachement would be nice.

Missing Fields for clients.
Atleast here in norway, we need to specify the Company Registration ID in-case the company changes their name and some shitty case would come up.
So a field for that would be nice, currently i specify it in the Address field just to have it attached.

I see there is alot going on here at the moment!

Bugs i have found on my first day with 3.3.1

//PROJECTS
* Some milestones doesnt show unless there is a task to it.
* Looks like its not adding HOURS * RATE, if you specify something else then the default rate in the project overview, witch doesnt make it the right price until you get to the invoice. (Might get misleading for a customer if they want to track the project)
* Deleted a task once, but the sub-text was still present until i refreshed again.
* Try to make the page refresh at the same time as you get the green confirmation box when something is done, so that it doesnt refresh again after 2-3 seconds to make the update visible.

Clients:
* Passphrase doesnt show in the client list, you have to view the client information to get the pass phrase for client side login.
I just saw that in the demo of the app, it showed in the list to, and there is a field for it so i figgured that it had to be some sort of bug?

It doesnt seem to be adding any % on top of the invoice total in paypal even tho i set it to 4%

* this might just be me, but the PDF doesnt work * ill get back to you tomorrow on that one as ill get some support then.

Do you guys have an updated roadmap?

I’d love for more functionality with tasks. Such as being able to check them off and on, drag and drop the order, etc. Currently I am using Pancake for invoicing and time tracking but would love to use it for all my project management tasks as well. I’m using Wunderkit at the moment. The UI is stunning and simple to use but it lacks almost all the features Pancake has.

Edit: Also are there still plans for a mobile version or iPhone app?
