Hi All,
I am starting a sales office, and would like to have a way to develop leads and opportunities into deals, which can later become invoices! Does anyone know if the developers of pancakeapp have any plans to incorporate some CRM features into this app or introduce another app that can run independently on a user’s server? Please say yes!

First, sorry for the spam reply… jerks.
Secondly there are more and more CRM features coming with every release. One of the upcoming ones is a lead tracker system. If you wanted to tell me more about how you want that to work we’d be happy to incorporate what we can.
100% of sales revenue goes towards active development and updates are free :D

Wow that sounds excellent!! When do you all plan to launch the lead tracker system? Will it have the ability to convert leads info into pancake’s invoicing system?
As far as what I’d like to see is a way to import leads into the lead tracker system, type in details about where we are at in regards to winning the client’s business. Lastly, I would like to be able to assign leads to different sales people that I have hired to convert these leads into paying clients.
Let’s get this rolling! It is needed like yesterday. I’m done with SalesForce and things like that.

Hey Michael,
We don’t have a solid launch time for a lead tracker, however in looking into Saleforce I doubt it will be anything nearly as complex as that. More so it will be a simplified lead tracker that allows you to keep track of where deals are at and who is working them.
Pancake is geared towards freelancers and small 2-5 person shops, I really want to make sure that everything we release is as simple as it can be, Salesforce seems to be a better enterprise solution if you have loads of sales staff and such.
I’ll post some more details whe I have them available, we have a few modules, such as expenses, that will be released before lead tracking gets the love it needs.
I’m going to delete the other post you made with the same content to help keep the forums organized.

I’m also really interested in seeing CRM functionality added to Pancake. Will having a lot of the functionality of either Pipedrive, HighRise, Base, Rule.fm or CapsuleCRM be too much to ask? They all share a lot of core features that I’d love to have in Pancake. Mostly the organisation of deals, into a pipeline of customisable (and hopefully visually beautiful) stages. Gmail integration would also be nice, like Streak App or Base does.
